Information supplied on this nomination form is validated for accuracy and consistency, and if it passes all tests it will be condensed into 2 e-mails which will be forwarded to the e-mail client on this computer or moble device. If the volume of information is too large the e-mail client will fail without informing the web browser and the e-mails will not be produced, or in some cases only one e-mail will be produced.
How much information is too much? No published data exists to answer this question reliably, and the amount of information that will cause an e-mail client to fail varies from e-mail client to e-mail client. MS Outlook varies from Gmail, and Gmail varies from other e-mail clients.
How can the problem be avoided? Firstly, give brief answers. If a paper's title is very long, condense it. Secondly, if more than 2 people worked on a project, put the information about the project team in a separate document and attach the document to the second e-mail produced by the e-mail client.
How will I know that everything has worked properly? If the information passes all validation tests, the first e-mail will be sent to you after you click the submit button, and the second e-mail will be sent to you after you click the finish button. If you don't receive both e-mails the information on the nomination form needs to be shortened, or summarised in a separate document.
What should I do with the e-mails when I receive them? Send the e-mail that has Part 1 in the subject line to the Student Activities Co-ordinator, whose e-mail address will already be included in the e-mail. Attach all supporting documentation to the second e-mail, which has Part 2 in the subject line. Do not alter any of the information that appears between the two demarcation lines on each e-mail. You may add comments above or below the lines if you wish.
If you have any queries please address them to the IEEE AC webmaster.
